Took another trip down to Pagham Harbour RSPB this weekend with Lori and Nolan. My hope was to connect with the long staying Glossy Ibis that frequents the area whenever I am not there:). 3rd time unlucky; only missed it at the Ferry Pool by a few minutes this time...grrrr..C'est la vie!

We decided to walk the trail out to the sea today, which, though a little overgrown and muddy ,wasn't too bad. It took about an hour to reach the beach with a few nice birds along the way: Curlew, Redshank, Greenshank,Oystercatcher, Avocet, Green Sandpiper, Common Sandpiper, Lapwing, Black-tailed Godwit, Little Egret, Peregrine, Sparrowhawk, Buzzard, Reed Warbler, Whitethroat, Meadow Pipit, Chiffchaff, Greenfinch, Goldfinch, Cormorant, Grey Heron and Swallow.

At the beach we rested for a while before heading back but managed to get a look at some really cool summer plumage Sanderling. En-route home we stopped in at Pulborough Brooks RSPB for soup and cake!
