Nightingale


Pulborough Brooks RSPB Reserve produced 52 species for us today. Highlights were:
  • Nightingale (At least 6 individuals heard and a few seen, lifer for Lori)
  • Cuckoo (one bird heard clearly and seen as a flyover)
  • Blackcap (12 individuals)
  • Whitethroat (1st of the year, three birds heard and seen)
  • Little Stint (1st of the year and lifer for Lori)
  • Treecreeper (great views)
  • Song Thrush (great views)

  1. Nice vid Rich! I remember having to crawl on my hands and knees through some very scratchy vegetation to see my first, very well hidden nightingale at Salthouse Heath in Norfolk! I got savaged by mosquitoes and midges too, but it was well worth it. Lori's really racking up those ticks!

  2. Thanks Jon. Yep we were pretty lucky to get nice looks at this sneaky songster:)Lori's definitely getting a nice list going now...and Scotland awaits.....
